  • By bus: The nearest bus stop "Wals Feuerwehr" is just 5 minutes from the hotel. Travel comfortably to the centre of Salzburg in 20 minutes and conquer the city from there. The bus runs every 30 to 60 minutes until late in the evening (23:00 during the week and 20:00 at weekends).
  • By taxi: If you prefer a taxi journey, you can reach Salzburg for around €15-20.
  • By car: You can also get to Salzburg quickly and cheaply in your own car. Take advantage of the attractive Park & Ride Ticket, for example: you can drive your car into the city to one of the car parks and then use public transport in the city of Salzburg. This offer is valid for up to 5 people.
  • By bike: Would you like to get to Salzburg actively and independently? Of course you can also reach the city of Salzburg on cycle paths. You can also hire bikes from us for a fee. Just get in touch with us!

ZOO SALZBURG

Salzburg Zoo - home to 140 animal species from all over the world! The unique landscape on Hellbrunn Mountain, with the steep rock face on one side and the hilly foothills of the floodplain landscape on the other, is home to around 1200 wild animals. Native and exotic animal species - from the Alpine ibex to the zebra mongoose - live on the approximately 14-hectare site in natural, spacious enclosures.

SHIP AMADEUS SALZBURG

The "Amadeus Salzburg" is an ultra-modern ship with up to 80 seats (with outside deck) and a draught of just 38 cm. The unique design with very large glass windows gives you an outstanding panoramic view. The ship can accelerate to speeds of up to 50 km/h thanks to the power of its engines of over 1000 hp. A wide variety of tours are available as part of the Salzach cruise.

TOY MUSEUM - SALZBURG

The Toy Museum invites you into a world of play. Experiencing and trying things out take centre stage, with lots of toys for you to play with. So, take off your shoes, put on your plimsolls and off you go. Many exhibits are shown at children's eye level. Get your marble at the ticket desk and off you go to the marble runs.

RESIDENCE OF SALZBURG

Awe-filled admiration fills the visitor on his tour through the state rooms of the Residenz zu Salzburg. 200 years of stylistic history - from Renaissance to Baroque to Classicism - are reflected in treasures such as frescoes, paintings, ceramic stoves and clocks. Even in the Baroque period, the prince-archbishop's palace was one of the most feudal places of representation in the German-speaking world.

MOZART'S BIRTHPLACE

Salzburg's boy wonder, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, was born in the "Hagenauer Haus" at Getreidegasse 9 on 27 January 1756. Together with his sister "Nannerl" and his parents, he lived in this house until 1773. Today, Mozart's birthplace is home to a museum that is open all year round.

The Getreidegasse, probably Salzburg's most famous shopping street, gets its charm not only from its tall, narrow houses nestled close together, tempting shops and the wrought-iron guild signs, but also from its romantic through-houses and inner courtyards.

EISGROTTE SALZBURG
Just 1 minute away from Mozart's birthplace, the first ice grotto was opened in the world-famous Getreidegasse in 1958. At that time, in the heart of Salzburg's historic city centre, the foundation stone was laid for the quality ice cream from the ice grotto that is known worldwide today, which is always made fresh in the in-house production according to a traditional recipe.

GAISBERG
At 1287 metres above sea level, the Gaisberg is one of the local mountains of the Austrian capital of Salzburg. The Gaisberg transmitter is located on its peak. The mountain, which is part of the Salzkammergut mountains, is also an important excursion destination today. There are numerous hiking trails on the Gaisberg, some of which are groomed as cross-country ski trails in winter. In summer, cyclists in particular use the Gaisberg as a training route.
