Once a farm, now a 4-star hotel: The Königgut in Wals near Salzburg is expanding its wellness offerings without losing sight of its roots.
Manager Daniela Reiter runs the hotel—which features 44 rooms and apartments, seven seminar rooms, and a rich agricultural history—together with her family. Even though guests are accommodated here today instead of animals, the roots have always remained palpable: a small farm is still part of the property, as is a farm shop with fresh products that also enrich the hotel’s cuisine.
Now the Königgut is taking the next step: a comprehensive modernization including two new and thirteen renovated rooms, an expanded reception area, and a redesigned seminar room. And with a generous expansion of the wellness area—for more space, more tranquility, and even more regal relaxation. In a way that allows the hotel to remain true to its origins while also looking to the future.
